How I can help

Quick, clearly defined projects are my sweet spot. You tell me what you need, I get it done right, and you can keep things running long after I hand it back.

Tools I work with every day: WordPress, Shopify, Unbounce, ClickFunnels, Squarespace, Wix, HubSpot, Zapier, Stripe, Twilio, Cloudflare, and good old hand-written code.

  • WordPress & website builds

New pages, theme tweaks, Elementor and Unbounce landing pages, speeding up slow pages, and moving sites to a new home without the drama.

  • Connecting your tools

Getting your forms, CRM, payments, and scheduling (HubSpot, Stripe, Calendly, Zapier and friends) talking to each other, so leads and bookings land where they should without anyone copying and pasting.

  • Putting AI to work

Letting AI handle the busywork: call notes that send the right follow-up, leads routed to the right person, and a clear record of everything that ran.

  • Fixes & tune-ups

Something broken, slow, or just not right? I track down the actual cause, fix it, and get your site running smoothly again.

  • An extra hand for agencies

Hop me into your ClickUp, Trello, or Jira board and I'll knock out client requests reliably and quietly, under your name.

No meetings. Just progress.

A lot of projects get stuck in kickoff calls, check-ins, and calendar juggling. I keep everything in email and chat instead, so my time goes into actually doing the work, and you have everything in writing.

You tell me what you need

Answer a few quick questions (it takes about a minute) and I'll write back with a plan: what I'll do and what happens next.

I get to work

You'll get updates along the way, plus a quick screen-recorded video any time showing is easier than explaining.

You get the keys

When it's done, you get simple notes on what changed and how to manage it, so you never need a developer just to edit a paragraph.

Built to run, not just to look good

I use AI every day. It helps me find problems faster and build faster, and it's a big part of how I turn work around quickly.

But a fast build doesn't help much if nobody on your team can update it. Whether it's WordPress, Shopify, or a custom site, you get something polished, well documented, and easy to manage on your own.

Selected work

AI automation

AI call notes that trigger the right follow-up

Roofing sales team, Omaha

  • RingCentral
  • AI note-taker
  • HubSpot
  • n8n

The problem

Field reps are great on calls, but nobody can capture everything while they're talking. Follow-up materials were getting missed and leads were quietly dropping off.

What I built

AI note-taking on sales calls. Key topics trigger tailored HubSpot follow-ups through n8n, backed by custom objects, external logs, and daily summary reports.

The result

Missed touchpoints recovered, reps free to focus on selling, and the same pattern rolled out to several more sales scenarios.

Security rescue & speed

37 event sites saved from a full rebuild

Ticketing network for fairs and festivals, via an agency partner

  • WordPress
  • WHM / cPanel
  • Malware cleanup
  • Performance

The problem

Shortly after I migrated an agency's 37 event ticketing sites onto their own server, every site started acting up. Attackers had slipped in through outdated plugins on an aging PHP stack, and the agency was looking at rebuilding everything from scratch.

What I did

Combined my knowledge of how each site was built with AI-assisted forensics to trace every backdoor, rogue admin account, and injected file. I cleaned and patched all 37 sites, rotated credentials, and tuned the server so it stays stable under load.

The result

All 37 sites were back online in about a day with no rebuild. When the site builder then flagged slow load times, I tackled performance right away, and the network runs faster than it did before the attack.

Custom portals

Dealer portal with instant bid engines

Commercial roofing company

Built affiliate and team portals with custom HTML inside Softr, including roofing bid engines that turn a few inputs into a priced proposal PDF delivered straight into HubSpot. Shaped with real roofers so it fits how they actually bid.

  • Softr
  • HTML / JS
  • HubSpot
  • GitHub

Rescue

Live site restored after a staging overwrite

WordPress events site on WP Engine

A staging push wiped out the live site's recent events. I rebuilt the missing data locally and restored it with targeted SQL across all three tables The Events Calendar depends on, without losing anything added since.

  • WordPress
  • WP Engine
  • MySQL

Speed rescues

Slow sites made usable again

Business and coaching sites, direct and via agencies

One site was so slow it timed out while I was trying to edit it. Tracing the real bottlenecks (bloated plugins, heavy queries, unoptimized assets) and fixing them at the source got it loading fast and working reliably again, for editors and visitors alike.

  • Core Web Vitals
  • Caching
  • Database cleanup

Long-term partner

11+ years running a national marketing platform

Chiropractic marketing and media company

Sole senior developer for a multi-brand WordPress portfolio and webinar funnels. I also automated the monthly email deployment in Keap, so sends ran on their own with a clear record of who received what.

  • WordPress
  • Keap
  • Email automation

Agency landing pages

Copy and wireframes into responsive pages

B2B SaaS marketing agency

Took an agency's copy and rough layouts and turned them into polished, responsive landing pages in WordPress (Divi) and HubSpot, ready for campaigns and easy for their team to edit.

  • Divi
  • HubSpot
  • Responsive design

Security review

Custom theme hardened before it became a problem

WordPress business site

Reviewed a custom child theme, found open doors for SQL injection and unsanitized form data, and delivered a rewritten version that does the same job safely.

  • PHP
  • WordPress
  • Code review

Senior experience, zero corporate overhead

I'm Danielle, a senior web developer, designer, and technical fixer based in Omaha, Nebraska. For 15+ years I've built, migrated, and rescued sites for businesses and agencies, including 11+ years as the sole senior developer behind a national healthcare marketing platform. If there's a website builder, theme, plugin, or CRM out there, I've very likely worked with it.

I love taking messy manual processes and turning them into clean, reliable, automated systems. I'll admit I'm a nerd about checking the logs. I just love seeing it work.

When I'm not writing code, I'm usually out walking Risi, our Mini Aussie, or tackling a home project with my husband, Anthony. He's also my secret weapon on bigger builds. He helps lay the technical groundwork behind the scenes, and after years as a support lead, he knows exactly what trips real people up, so we can fix it before your customers ever see it.

Every project helps a rescue pup

Our dogs have always been a big part of our story, so giving back to animals in need matters to us. Here's how your project helps:

  • A donation with every project

A share of every project, at least $50, goes to an animal rescue you choose: the Nebraska Humane Society, Midlands Humane Society, Capital Humane Society in Lincoln, Whispering Willows Senior Dog Sanctuary, the ASPCA, or a rescue near you. I'll just make sure it's a registered nonprofit first.

  • One free rescue project each quarter

Every quarter, I build or fix a website for an animal rescue, free of charge. Run a rescue? Tell me about it using "Something else" in the form.

Questions people usually ask

How much does it cost, and how does payment work?

Most projects get a flat quote up front, so you know the total before I start. Smaller or ongoing tasks are billed hourly at $45 an hour. For a first project, I ask for a deposit to get started and break the rest into simple milestones. Ongoing work is invoiced at the start of each month for the month before. You can pay through Stripe, PayPal, or Upwork.

How fast will I hear back?

Within one business day. I'm on Central Time, and I'll reply with a written plan so you know exactly what happens next.

Do you take small jobs?

Yes! No job is too small. Quick fixes and one-off updates are some of my favorite projects.

Do you work with clients outside Omaha?

Yes. I'm based in Omaha, Nebraska, and work remotely with businesses and agencies across the U.S. Since everything happens over email and chat, location never gets in the way.

Do I really never have to get on a call?

Really. We keep everything in writing over email and chat, and I'll send a quick screen-recorded video whenever showing is easier than explaining. You'll have a written record of every decision.

What platforms do you work with?

WordPress (including Elementor, Divi, and most themes and page builders), Shopify, Squarespace, Wix, Unbounce, ClickFunnels, HubSpot, Zapier, n8n, Stripe, Twilio, Cloudflare, and custom hand-coded sites.

Can you fix a site someone else built?

Absolutely. Fixing and rescuing existing sites is a big part of what I do, from broken layouts and slow pages to forms that stopped working and sites that have been hacked.

Will you need my passwords?

Nope. I'll ask you to set me up with my own login instead of sharing yours. You stay in control and can remove my access any time, including the moment we're done.

What happens after the project is done?

If I built it, I support it. If something isn't working right afterward, just let me know and I'll make it right, with no surprise add-on fees. If you'd like ongoing help, I'm happy to stay on month to month.

Do you work with agencies?

Yes. I can step into your ClickUp, Trello, or Jira board and handle client requests quietly under your name, whether it's a few things here and there or a steady amount each week.

Do you really donate to animal rescues?

We do. A share of every project, at least $50, goes to an animal rescue you choose: the Nebraska Humane Society, Midlands Humane Society, Capital Humane Society in Lincoln, Whispering Willows Senior Dog Sanctuary, the ASPCA, or a registered rescue near you. I also take on one free website project for an animal rescue each quarter. Here's how it works.
